Day 14

Hey Amigos!

Today's PPPP's are:

Peak- Today's peak would have to be our DECIDEDchurch meeting tonight! It went great! I can't wait for all the amazing upcoming events that will be happening soon at Decided! another peak is I went into starbucks not knowing what I wanted to drink. The guy behind the counter told me he would make me a special drink...Lets just say it is HEAVEN in a cup! but, I don't know what exactly it was, and I have no idea how to order it again!!! I must go back when he is there to order. It was simply amazing!

Pit-No pit, just working long days and long night's doing homework!

Praise- We got almost all our art projects done for the upcoming CBCDC thanksgiving feast. Seriously, If you knew all the things we have to make for this thing, you would realize how big of a praise this is!

Prayer!- Please just keep praying for school, the leadership team for decided, and a choice I will have to make in the future concerning the church I attend and how I am involved. I have been praying for this a lot lately...so pray with me :)

I love you all. Thanks for reading!

In Christ,

Callie

Day 12

Peak: Work: I love my job. It is never really a job if you love it!

Pit: The only real pit of the day is that I worked 7-6:30 and then had a meeting until 8. but like in the bullet above, It is never really a job if you love it!

Praise: I got to talk to my dad tonight! Well, Kind of. I could see him on skype,  but he didn't have a microphone so we couldn't hear each other. we instant messaged through skype while looking at each other. I miss him! It was so good to talk to him!

Prayer: Pray that God will continue to use my story in life to further his kingdom. Pray I will unleash what he has planned for me and that his blessings will pour out on everyone I meet and come in contact with.

Well, we are keeping it short and sweet tonight,

Goodnight lovely friends!

Day 5

Hi Yall!

Today has been a busy school day, but as all ways here are my Peaks, Pits, Praises and Prayers.

Peaks: Today has been pretty much a headache free day! This is big news if you have kept up with me since last wednesday! Thank you lord for some much needed relief! I also got to meet some believers in Starbucks tonight. It is so awesome to see people my age and younger reading their bibles, and doing bible studies in public places. An older man stopped and encouraged us tonight as we were reading. Thank you lord for those little encouraging moments!

Pits: Honestly, today was great. The only thing close to a pit would be having to get up  and be at school at 8am for classes until 6. But I am able to go to school, So that will always be a peak.

Praise: Today has been a praise. All Day. I am alive. I am breathing. I am healthy. I have Jesus. What else could I possible need?

Prayer: Please be praying for the  girl in one of my ECD classes. I have gotten to share my beliefs and pray for her in class, and I haven't seen her in 2 weeks. Lord, Please bring her back into my life so that I can share your message of hope and good news with her!

So... Today I spent 26 minutes reading my bible :) I keep falling more and more in love with God's love letter to me.

I have been reading Romans, So here is a quick look at the verses that God has wrecked my heart with the past few days!

Romans 8:18- I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Romans 8:26- The spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. and he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will.

Romans 8:31-If God is fore us, Who can be against us?

Romans 8:1-Therefore, There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans 8:37-39-In all these things, We are more than victorious through Christ who loves us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angles nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!

Well friends, those are just a few of the verses that God laid on my heart today. I hope they encourage you as much as they have encouraged me!

Day 4

Hello Lovely Lads!

Today has been an interesting day!

Peaks: Today is Halloween! I got to dress up in my chicken costume at work as well as Trunk or Treat at Chapin Baptist. I loved it! I know I can be crazy and silly sometimes, but this is definitely something that I love, No matter how weird I may seem. After we got done handing out candy at Trunk or Treat with 2 of my favorites (Casey and Dawn) We went to Chick-Fil-A and made some fun there. From getting my head stuck in the cardboard cut out, trying to get free food since I was wearing a chick suit, to pretending to drive the Chapin Police car, It was for sure a fun day.

Pits: Only pit of the day is that I am still having these headaches. I am on a new medicine, so I hope that this one will bring some relief!

Praise: My CT scan came back negative! This rules out any abnormalities in my brain, and that I have a brain (hehe!)  Yay!
Prayer: Please continue praying these headaches will go away. I am confident that God has control and that this somehow feeds into his plan.

Today starts my New Challenge!
(You can read more about it by clicking the link at the top left of this page)

I checked my facebook 9 times which equals about 18 minutes in the word. Man I learned so much by finishing the book of Romans. I'll share all about what I learned on tomorrows post!

Check out the pictures from tonight below!

 Me and Boo Boo Chicken!
This picture makes me laugh because right after this was taken, I got my head stuck in it!

Day 3

Hola amigos!

Peaks: Getting to attend bible study at "The Shack" is such a refreshing thing! I love to grow deeper in my walk with the Lord with these people. Sharing what is making our hearts hurt, what makes us happy, questions we have, comes so natural in this group. We learn, cry, laugh, and grow together. Tonight, they surrounded me and prayed that my headaches would go away. What an awesome feeling knowing your group cares enough to surround you, and pray to our father in heaven on your behalf. I love my group!

Pits: Today's pit was probably having to get up super early, sit through morning traffic (YUCK!) in order to go to the hospital to get my CT scan done. Should know some results tomorrow.

Praises:....Hmmmm. Praises would probably be that I made it pretty much the whole day with a dull headache. It didn't get to the point where I had to go home and go to bed, which was a huge blessing.

Prayers: Praying that my headaches can get under control with either meds, or they can find out what is causing them.

Thank you guys so much for reading. If you haven't already, check the tab at the top left of this page marked "40 Day Facebook Challenge" I will be starting this tomorrow! I honestly can't wait! If you would like to join me, feel free. Shoot me a text, blog comment, or facebook note letting me know if you are so I can encourage and remind you throughout the 40 days!

Well that's it for tonight!

I love you all. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

In Christ's Loving Arms,

Callie

Day 2

Hello World!

Today has been what I call a "Lazy" day!

Peaks: I got a little Rest and Relaxation today. 12 hours in my bed today was really relaxing and refreshing after all the busyness lately.

Pits: I had to miss work because of these headaches. I miss my crazy little kiddos. I seriously love these kids and hate that I had to miss the chance to be with them today. They make my heart smile.

Praise: I went to the Doc today and they gave me some migraine medicine and scheduled me for a CT scan of my head tomorrow to see if they can find the cause of these headaches.

Prayers: Please pray for my CT scan tomorrow and they can find what is wrong. Also pray for this new medicine to make these headaches go away. I appreciate it!

Latest Learning:

Because I got to spend so much time in my bed today, I was able to do a lot of reading in my favorite book of all times. My BIBLE!

Man, I love this book!  God speaks to me so clearly through it and I hate I have missed so much time to study it because of worldly things in the past few years.

So here is what God taught me today:

Laying in bed, sleeping, resting, trying to recover from being sick can be very boring and lonely. I’ve had to rely on the Lord for my encouragement and strength to get through this. There have been discouragements and challenges, but God has been faithful to always encourage me and  teach me through every circumstance.
Last night I was alone and feeling down, so I read the devotional from a book I was given at Christmas.
I knew before I even opened to the page that it would be what I needed to read.
It was.
First Love. All throughout my time being sick, God has just been wooing me to fall more in love with Him. He’s romanced my heart to return to my first love. Not that I had lost it. But that passion, that deep affection is being renewed. You can have a steady love for God that deepens, but sometimes our feelings and circumstances try to ruin the sweetness of that. Thank God that He will not let us be jaded by the discouragements the enemy tries to use against us. God’s love is much stronger and more enduring than that, and He wants to reveal that truth more and more. He draws us back into the freshness of His presence.
I’ve also been seeking the Lord for ways to love others, especially two people who don’t seem to care for me at all. Those who I must love but don’t feel loved by. I want His love for every person, and I still struggle to love some people, especially those who treat me wrongly. God’s extravagant grace and love for me is the first step to realizing how much He loves them, too. I love because He loved me first. Without fresh revelation of God’s love and the surrender of my heart to all but my first love, how can I even begin to love others?
We can get caught up in life. Ministry, academics, relationships, dreams, etc. Jesus wants our hearts. He loves us so much. The things we do in life and the people in it are important. But let us never abandon our first love.
“I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and patient endurance…But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other like you did at first! Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again.” - Revelation 2:2, 4-5
God is calling us unto Himself, to deeper intimacy, to live today with the intimacy of our years together and the passion of first love.

I hope this encourages you as much as it did me.

Until Tomorrow:
Callie
